Report a problem from inside the app

Every result screen in the app has a small flag icon (🚩) in the corner. Tap it to send us a precise report about the question you just answered. The report carries the lesson, the prompt, your answer, and the expected answer so we can investigate without back-and-forth.

This is the best way to flag:

• A translation that's not quite right for Lebanese
• A word missing its Arabic script
• A typo or awkward English hint
• An answer that should have been accepted but wasn't

Frequently asked

Do I need an account to use Ya Qalbi?

No. You can complete every lesson without signing in. Sign-in only matters if you want your progress to sync across devices and your username to appear on the leaderboard.

How do I sync my progress to a new phone?

Sign in with the same Apple or Google account (or email/password) on the new phone. Your XP, streak, completed lessons, and Dahab will restore automatically.

I signed in but my progress didn't show up.

Force-quit the app and reopen it. The cloud sync runs after sign-in. If progress still isn't there, email us with the date you originally started using the app and we'll look it up.

How do I delete my account?

Inside the app: Profile → Settings (gear icon) → Sign out. The dialog will offer "Delete account" if you're signed in. You can also email us at yaqalbiapp@gmail.com and we'll handle it within 7 days. See our Privacy Policy for details on what gets deleted.

How do I change my username?

This feature is coming soon. In the meantime, email us with your current and desired username and we'll update it for you.

The streak counter says I missed a day, but I didn't.

The streak day boundary is midnight in the timezone your device is set to. If you traveled or changed timezones, a "missed" day can happen even when you used the app. Email us with the dates and we'll restore the streak.

I lost progress when I uninstalled.

If you were using the app without signing in, your progress was stored only on your device. Uninstalling clears local storage and the progress is unfortunately not recoverable. To prevent this in the future, sign in once — your data lives in the cloud after that.

How accurate is the Lebanese in the app?

Every lesson was vetted by native Lebanese speakers. We optimize for the dialect you'd actually hear spoken in Lebanon today, not Modern Standard Arabic. That said, Lebanese has regional and generational variation. If a word or phrase doesn't match what you grew up with, we'd love to hear it — use the flag button or email us.

Will there be an Android version?

Yes, eventually. The iOS version is the priority for now. Join the waitlist to hear when Android lands.

I want to suggest a topic or chapter.

Please do. Email us with what you'd want to learn and any context (a phrase your grandmother used, a situation you wish you could navigate in Lebanon, a song or poem you want to understand). Every request gets read and shapes what we build next.
