Report a problem from inside the app

Every result screen in the app has a small flag icon (🚩) in the corner. Tap it to send us a precise report about the question you just answered. The report carries the lesson, the prompt, your answer, and the expected answer so we can investigate without back-and-forth.

This is the best way to flag:

• A translation that's not quite right for Lebanese
• A word missing its Arabic script
• A typo or awkward English hint
• An answer that should have been accepted but wasn't

Frequently asked

Do I need an account to use Ya Qalbi?

No. You can complete every lesson without signing in. Sign-in only matters if you want your progress to sync across devices and your username to appear on the leaderboard.

How do I sync my progress to a new phone?

Sign in with the same Apple or Google account (or email/password) on the new phone. Your Nour, your Nar streak, your completed lessons and your Dahab all restore automatically.

I signed in but my progress didn't show up.

Force-quit the app and reopen it. The cloud sync runs after sign-in. If progress still isn't there, email us with the date you originally started using the app and we'll look it up.

How do I delete my account?

Inside the app: Profile → Settings (gear icon) → Edit Profile → Delete account. You can also email us at yaqalbiapp@gmail.com and we'll handle it within 7 days. If you subscribe to Premium, cancel it first: deleting your account doesn't stop Apple's billing. See our Privacy Policy for details on what gets deleted.

How do I change my username?

Inside the app: Profile → Settings (gear icon) → Edit Profile. Change the username there and tap Save. If the one you want is taken, the app will say so.

The streak counter says I missed a day, but I didn't.

The streak day boundary is midnight in the timezone your device is set to. If you traveled or changed timezones, a "missed" day can happen even when you used the app. Email us with the dates and we'll restore the streak.

I lost progress when I uninstalled.

If you were using the app without signing in, your progress was stored only on your device. Uninstalling clears local storage and the progress is unfortunately not recoverable. To prevent this in the future, sign in once. After that, your data lives in the cloud.

How accurate is the Lebanese in the app?

The course is built around the dialect you'd actually hear spoken in Lebanon today, not Modern Standard Arabic, and native Lebanese speakers review the wording. That said, Lebanese has regional and generational variation. If a word or phrase doesn't match what you grew up with, we'd love to hear it. Use the flag button or email us.

Is Ya Qalbi free?

Yes. Every chapter, the audio on every word, and practice are free. Ya Qalbi Premium is an optional subscription that removes the ta2a (energy) limit, so you can keep starting lessons however many you've failed. It's $6.99 a month or $49.99 a year in the US (the app shows the price in your local currency), and new subscribers can try it free for 7 days.

What is ta2a (energy)?

Ta2a (طاقة, energy) lets you start lessons. You have up to five, and you lose one only when you fail a lesson, never for starting or passing one. They come back one every 4 hours, by practising (up to two a day), or by spending Dahab. While you're new, failing costs nothing. Premium makes ta2a unlimited.

How do I cancel Premium?

In the app: Profile → Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription. Or on your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Ya Qalbi. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it, so cancel first.

Can I get a refund?

Apple handles all Ya Qalbi payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue them ourselves, but email us if something went wrong and we'll help.

I paid for Premium but the app doesn't show it.

In the app, go to Profile → Settings → Subscription and tap Restore Purchase, on an iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account you paid with.
